Canary FAQ

Posted by debbie on December 30, 2003 at 23:23:14:

My canary has bleeding scaly feet and has Feather loss around his head. He has not sung in about a years time. I have asked the placed where I bought him and they told me maybe he was moulting. This is not moulting. He did have scaly feet when I bought him and did sing for about 1 year. I asked the store owner about this and they replied they tried treating him for the scaly feet and it is not anything to worry about his feet are just that way, however they were not bleeding as they are now. If you could give me some insight on this I would appreciate it. I plan to try treatments for mites. Another pet store owner gave me Iodine drops for his water. Thanks, Debbie
