: I have  little parakeet that I named Jacky. I have this bird for 2 months now, at least two families gave up on him. Jacky is cute but hates people, at first when I tried to feed him by hand, he would run around his cage like crazy but now Jacky BITES me! He is not a dumb bird, I guess maybe he figured out that "little beak action" is better defence. He is totally wild. Jackys bites hurts at times. Few times that I've tried to catch him, Jack gets worse, he would bite me like 8-10 times untill I let him go, I wouldn't do that again.
: He is no pet. 
: And this bird doesn't like any toys, I mean he never touches toys. Jacky ignores every toy that I've tried, and that includes bells, rings, mirrors, balls. Any suggestions about  toys? 
: And have you ever seen a bird that doesn't eat anything except bird seeds? I know this bird food is good with minerals but still shouldn't parakeet eat something else? Jacky ignores every fruit and vegetable that I've tried to give him. He didn't even eat it when he was hungry.

: Who knows maybe Jacky is normal? And maybe I shouldn't be worried about him. I visited many parakeet web sites and I've never seen behavior like that. Perhaps any advice? Thanks.
