Canary FAQ

Posted by CheysuliGirl on November 04, 2003 at 18:57:30:

I noticed a few days ago that my cokatiel's perch was covered with a rusty red substance. I didn't think anything of it and cleaned it off. Then I let her out of the cage and put her on top. The bars are now red and today when I placed her on my shoulder, she left red spots on my shirt. I can't see any sores or cuts on her feet, but she does have dried blood on the undersides of her feet. The nearest vetenarian is a large animal vetenarian and doesn't know anything about cokatiels, so I have no idea where to take her. What is it and what should I do about it?
