: My hen has been being attacked by her mate for about a couple of weeks. The babies will be 2 weeks on Wednesday. He ripped a few feathers from her head and it looks like around her eye. She looks like she has been to war. My dad says he does this because she is abandoning the babies. I've seen him feed them and her but he won't let her in her nest box. I'm afraid for her and the babies. I seperated the the hen from the cage tonight to see what happens. What should I do? I'm desperate to save 3 lives!!!!
