: I have male and female canaries and I out them together 10 day ago, The mate but female does not try to build a nets, she is very aggressive and fights with male. Should I keep them together or should I separate.

: When she will start to build the nest? a couple days ago she was sitting in her nest place where I put some grass but next day I found it destroyed

: Regards,

: Paata

Hello...I was having the same problem as you are, and I separated them. The Male was trying to be friendly, but the female had a fit all day... I have them close together, so I can see when they are ready to be friendly with each other, and then I can put them together again, next Spring. I'm thinking the female was too young for breeding now.
