: : : : : Well, the large aviary was a failure. Fighting took place. Most male canaries stopped singing. When each male was returned to its large cage (small aviary), everything was OK. Singing started and each male canary looked very relaxed and happy. My advice is never understimate the male canary territory. : : : : Yes that is right the male canaries should be kept in cages by themselves and they will sing much more. They are very territorial and are much happier in their own space. : Sorry, it's Grace and I used Grae. Yes he does seem healthy and eats like crazy, bathes, chirps a lot and just today I noticed he DID try a bit of warbling, but not SINGING like I hoped he would. I do have the option of taking him back for an exchange so Hi Bob: Don't worry about the Grace and Grae it is not that important. Please try to keep this little bird if at all possible. He may be very young and that voice has to get stronger. When we got our Chico we thought he was not going to be much of a singer but we waited and eventually he became a great little singer so I believe in giving it time.
