: I was wondering if someone could tell me, Why a perfectly sweet, cuddly, loving, and fun bird, turns into a shark if his dishes are touched !! I have 2 birds like this. One is a conure, and the other a Pionus. I can do anything with these birds, except take their dishes in and out without a hassle of being nipped. Is this some sort of cage domain protection ??
: thanks......glena

Hello Glena:
The only thing I can suggest is that for some strange reason they are afraid their food is being taken away. Another reason is that they just get very excited when they get their food. I know this could be hard but maybe if you try feeding them some treat from your hand. I don't know what else to tell you.
I wish you good luck and please keep us posted.
Grace
