: : Everytime i hear something, it is usually my female parakeet who is in her nest box making noises. I think that she bites on this thing that sticks in the cage. Is this a bad thing about the nest box? Should i buy/make one that there is nothing inside except for a egg-laying thing? Please help me!

: Most parakeets don't need anything in their nest box.  It sounds like she is checking out her box and getting ready to lay eggs.  As far as chewing on something in her box, what is that something?  If it is wood like a perch it is fine for her to chew on it.
