: Hey. This is my first post. : I have a 5 year old male parakeet that I simply adore. We are the best of friends. I love him very much. 3 years ago, someone talked me into taking on a 6 month old 'Tiel. To be quite honest, I was never really crazy about the 'Tiel. But, after taking on the bird, I felt I had a responsibility to keep him. For almost three years, I had the 'keet and the 'tiel together. : Finally, I couldn't take the 'tiel's white dusty powder or feel sorry for me attitude (the 'tiel was very sensitive and would cry if he didn't get his way). I guess I'm just not a big bird person. : Yesterday, I called a local small pet store to see if they would be interested in the 'tiel. I took the 'tiel to the pet store. It was a very difficult decision. I feel like a weight has been taken off me, but I also feel like a failure. : The 'keet and 'tiel relationship didn't seem ever too close, but I fear now that my 'keet may become lonely. Do you think that is possible? Or am I over estimating the situation? Since he is a 5 year old male 'keet, do you think he would deal well with a new baby male 'keet? : Thanks for reading, : rose Hello Rose:
