: Well, the large aviary was a failure. Fighting took place. Most male canaries stopped singing. When each male was returned to its large cage (small aviary), everything was OK. Singing started and each male canary looked very relaxed and happy. My advice is never understimate the male canary territory. Yes that is right the male canaries should be kept in cages by themselves and they will sing much more. They are very territorial and are much happier in their own space.
