: I am glad that your canary is obviously feeling better. Using one foot during sleep is VERY COMMON and completely normal among canaries. Keep his diet balanced.

: : 1) I'm glad to know he should be able to continue sleeping like that if he wants to. But I had never seen him doing it before the foot problem. His usual sleeping position (all fluffed out with only the tips of both feet showing under a feathery ball) is quite different.

: : 2) The inward-curbing tip of the overgrown nail has been succesfully trimmed. All other nails are naturally shorter and also straighter.

: : 3) Today he's bursted into song as soon as his eyes opened, which doesn't happen every day. :-)
