Don't remove the eggs..since they aren't fertile, just let the hens keep them. If you keep removing them, it triggers the bird to keep laying. They need to get a full clutch of 5-6 eggs to be "satisfied" and to stop laying. Make sure they have ample cuttlebone, mineral block and crushed oyster shell so whichever one is laying doesn't get calcium deficient. You won't know which one is laying unless you see it or unless when you leave them, one starts sitting on them. They may just ignore them, but I would leave them for at least a couple of weeks. Are they tearing up paper or doing other nesting behavior? Try to discourage this if you can. I have a pair of Bourke's,...they are wonderful, adorable birds, aren't they? Mine have not layed eggs, fortunately.
