: It may not grow back, but should heal.  Are his nostrils affected?  Did the vet put 
: him on antibiotics?  I think 7 days of Baytril would be very important to keep it from 
: getting infected.  Don't put anything topical on it, only use oral meds.  I have had 
: birds come into my bird rescue with beak injuries and they don't always grow back, 
: but they do heal over time.  Do you have a way to take a digital picture of it and 
: send it to my email address?  I run a bird rescue in IL and have some experience 
: with bird injuries, and have an excellent avian vet here.  I could tell you more if I 
: could see the injury.  It would be good if you could locate a bird vet for the future...I 
: know sometimes there aren't any nearby.  I have to drive 100 miles to one, but it is 
: well worth the effort for the expertise.
