Thanks so much! Am I correct in assuming that I should NOT cut his beak down for him? Will he break it off himself or should I wait until he is better? He is still eating and drinking fine. I also have another parakeet in another cage - should I spray him as a preventative measure? I would assume so. Thanks so much! : Your bird is afflicted by a mite infestation. : Every day for a week spray (lightly) the bird and the immediate area around the cage with an avian insecticide that contains .05% pyrethrin as the active ingredient. Then, to keep the problem from returning, spray once a week.
