We had five parakeets. Two of them we could tell were a couple and a little while later the white female, Snow, laid five eggs. We were stoked, but we knew that they may never hatch. A while later they hatched, the first hatched two weeks before the last one did. We had five baby parakeets. Then on my birthday my mom got upset at me and accidentally let the mom out cause she was all stressed. We didn't know what to do, but the next day I fed them with a small eyedropper. I had this sneaking feeling that the dad was feeding them 'cause when I looked they were full. But then..the dad got out after my little brother accidentally left the box open. The smallest one, Benjamin, died today in my hands. He was only a week old, and I'd grown really attached to him. The other four are alive and healthy, I think. This week though I'm at my dads and I won't be with them. I'm really worried, and I want to be there to feed them during the day. I know my mom will do it, but it makes me feel better to be there. I was just wondering, when will the babies be able to eat like the millet spray on their own? Please, any help or tips would be grately appreciated.
