: Male canaries tend to like their own space.  They are not real social.  If you like to hear them sing they should have their own space.  It might be ok to keep 4 together but if they don't sing or if you see any fighting then separate them to their own cages.  Also if you are keeping other type birds in the aviary I would not take a chance with putting canaries in there.
