: My Canary is about 5 years old and has always been a wonderful singer.  This year however he has stopped singing altogether and doesn't even make the usual chirping sounds.  He is alone in the cage, is eating well and otherwise looks healthy.  What might cause him to stop singing? Is this usual behavior?
