: I Have two cockatiels, one male, one female, and this is the first time she has begun to lay a egg. She's got only the one so far.
:  Seeing as the male is still fairly young I am unsure of whether the eggs are fertile or not.
: She layed them at the bottom of the cage so I just added some shredded paper around the area, plus Ive given her some green vegetables and a calcium block (the calcium block being in the cage for some time now).
:  She has not been sitting on the egg or been around it much for the entire time day she layed the egg; but I dont intend on moving the egg at least for a couple of weeks - from what Ive read online.
: What are the best things for me to do to make sure she lays her eggs properly? and how do I know when to remove them for certain - without causing her any distress, or to provoke any more egg laying?
