My mom received a canary as a gift. She was told it was a male and it would sing. Lo and behold she woke up this morning to a little blue egg in her canary's seed cup. She's had the canary for some months now so it is impossible that the egg could be fertilized. My question is: when do we remove the egg and will it distress her to have the egg taken away? I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thanks.
