I am perplexed. My canary began acting really strange yesterday and died last night. Nothing in his routine had changed at all: daily fresh water & food, fruit and vegetables, large clean flight cage. He had been singing the day before. Yesterday, he couldn't seem to fly or land right and was breathing heavy. He managed to eat and drink a little. Does anyone have any idea what could have happened? He was only three years old (I mated his parents and raised him from birth). I am at a loss. Thanks in advance for any replies.
