Our dove with the broken wing (that you could actually see tendons and flesh exposed, as if it were hanging off the socket) is doing amazingly well.. It's incredible what a little love and a safe place with some food and shelter can do for healing.... She started flying in circles at first, since only one wing worked.... but now amazingly, she's able to fly straight and even hover near the ceiling. I think she looks at longing out the window at her fellow winged creatures. I think she may have missed her calling to fly south this year, but we are wondering if she may be able to meet up with her flock next year. She's really very sweet.
It's been a rather remarkable experience to see the miracles of healing in action.
