: As of today I have 2 parakeets. My first parakeet is a female that I have had for 3 years and is not tame. I inherited my grandmas female untamed parakeet who is somewhere between 4 and 5 years old. My whole goal is to be able to cage them together in my first parakeets cage, so now I have their cages side by side. They do not seem to care and are both going about their normal activities. So, how can I tell when the time is right to try to put them together.
