My male parakeet, Jerry, is about 4 yrs. old. He's very happy and seems content by himself. I have noticed a little blood spot on his perch that is connected to his mirror but never knew where it was coming from. This happens only once in a while. Today I heard him chirping away and watched him as he was "feeding" the mirror and when he hopped on the perch, he pointed his tail down and was dancing a little, and that's when I noticed the blood spot. I assume he was "mating" with the perch; however, is it normal for a little spot of blood to be present when mating?
