: : My beautiful parakeet Candy died; and now my other parakeet, Sugar is all alone.  Would it be a bad idea to get another bird?  Sugar didn't always get along with Candy, though there were times when they enjoyed each others company.

: No its not a bad idea at all, but you have to let the bird and yourself mourn for the passing of your bird. The bird will be okay in a couple of weeks, and you can get another companion, just remember that your not replacing your other bird, your giving your lonely bird a companion again, maybe even a more compatitble one,and your bird will be happy again.
