He continued to sing normally until the middle of this month (July) when I noticed tail and other long feathers on the floor. Hmm, is he starting moulting earlier this year? If his moulting irregular? He stopped his singing. Anyone with similar experience? Anyone owning a Red factor?

: Where are you located? In the Northern Hemisphere, July is when canaries generally moult. The males start singing again in September or October. ALL birds need extra protein in advance of and during the molt. Red Factors also need carotenoids to maintain the color.
