I have a great Red Factor singer. He arrived at my villa last time around this time of the year (July). He sang wonderfully even during moulting that took place in September of last year.

This year, unexpected events took place. I noticed a somewhat bald area in one side of the neck last month (June) and he was singing perfectly as usual. I treated him for lice just in case. He continued to sing normally until the middle of this month (July) when I noticed tail and other long feathers on the floor. Hmm, is he starting moulting earlier this year? If his moulting irregular? He stopped his singing. Anyone with similar experience? Anyone owning a Red factor?
