I hate to tell you this but males sing and they don't sit the nest, at least in our experience and in the Canary book. They "may" sit the nest if Mama leaves it, but otherwise she'll stay there. So it really sounds like you have two females. Sometimes they'll lay eggs even if there are no males (like chickens). Sunny did it once before. Or she may have mated before you got her and then laid eggs, and the other female is taking turns sitting the nest. But, if it NEVER sings, it's not a male.
