: Hi.  So I've had my Parakeet for a few months now, and he completely hates me.  He's started trying to bite me now when I put my hand in the cage.  I think that maybe he wasn't a baby when I got him (like the pet store said).  I don't want to give up on trying to get him to bond with me, but I don't want him to be miserable and lonely either.  I was thinking of getting him a friend.  Can two males live together peacefully?  I don't really want to deal with eggs.  Any tips would be great!  Thanks.  :)
