I bought a very young male Gloster canary six months ago. From the start, he was a wonderful singer. He is in a good enviornment, controlled temp 72 degrees, has plenty of light but no direct sun. About six weeks ago he started to molt and the singing completely stopped. We have read and have been told this is normal. The loss of down and feathers has subsided but my bird has not sung a lick. He is eating, pooping and is normal in all ways. His water and food are changed daily. He has not been moved to a different location. We do have a cat but she was here when we brought the canary home. The cat shows no interest in the bird. The bird will cheep when my wife talks to it. We are concerned and are seeking help to bring back our birds wonderful songs. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
