A mule canary is a cross between a canary and another breed of finch. A mule can not produce young. A hybrid is a cross that can produce young.

There are many different kinds of canary mules. The goldfinch mule is probably the best known.

As mules are not a distinct species, there is not scientific (Latin) name for mule.

Many mules are very good singers. I'm not aware of any available recordings.
