I have a seven year old male parakeet. I also have a very young female parakeet in the cage with him. She's still got her bars (the ones on the forhead that are supposed to go away around six months of age). So if my male passes away, what am I supposed to do with her? Should I try and introduce another male? I'd hate for her to be lonely. But I'd really like to have another talker (like my male keet), and everything I read says he'd have to be alone to learn that. I also read that the females don't talk.
