I have tried to introduce a new bird (a girl) to my older bird ( a boy). I ahve kept them apart as instructed for a while and tried to see how they would be together. Well they keep joining their beaks together in a sort of kissing motion. They do it for long periods of time and something tells me this isn't a kiss. What is this behavior??? Also, I don't have a nest in the cage but my male bird keeps trying to get on the female bird as if he is trying to mate (i think). Is there anyway to keep them from mating? I am still not sure if she is old enough. I have had the male since August 04 and the female since about April 05. Info needed. If you know any good parakeet books please let me know that as well. Thanks
