Hi, my name is alex and i am 13 years old. i was walking in my pasture when i saw an egg in the grass. it is a light blue. i think that it may be a robin's egg, but i am not sure. my mom doesn't know anything about this. right now the egg is an easter basket, surrounded my scarfs, and padding. i have put my tank top over the basket because i heard that it should be kept in a shadowy place. i have my lamp over it, heating it. i have a heating pad somewhere, but i am afraid that i might accidentally kill it from the heat! How long does it take a robin egg to hatch? and when should i start feeding the baby bird when it hatches? and what should i feed it? chopped up worms?! i have been looking all over the internet trying to find some advice! so one person said that if i hold the egg up to the light then i might be able to see the embryo. so i held it up to my lamp and i saw that there were some type of veiny looking things inside.... it looked like it was on the inside of the egg though. and at the top of the egg there is a lighter part. like the rest of the egg is sort of shadowed. but you can only see it when you hold it up to the light. so anyway. when i feel the egg it is about my body temperature it doesn't seem hot and it doesn't seem cold. i would really like to keep him or her. what is an incubator and where can i buy one? i am so nervous! please help me! ahhh! ~*aLeX*~
