do canaries lay eggs in a similar way to chickens, i.e without ever being fertilized? as one of my two canaries (red factor breed btw) has laid an egg, i was told both were female and that if i had a male bird they would sing, which neither bid does so i assumed they were both female, well obviously one is!. anyways whats the best course of action as i do not wish for the egg to hach if it is a fertilised egg
