: : I woke up this morning and two of Rootbeer's (my parakeet's) long feathers were at the bottom of his cage.  I can't tell if they are from his tail or his wings.  Is this just part of molting, or did he maybe hurt himself overnight?  I've only had him for a few months so I'm still a newbie at all of this.

: Rootbeer is most likely molting.  When mine molt they will lose long feather such as you described as well as many many small ones.
