My male Canary is not interested in mating. The female in the cage squats before him but he is not able to mate despite trying, I bought another canary sold to me as a male but turned out to be female. Now they are both squating and my male canary is in more distress :-)

Then I noticed some thing really weird, I saw both females trying to mate with each other and now they are both building a nest. What can I do to stop this lesbian relationship between my hens and get the male to perform it's duties ?
