I have a male and female in a fairly large screened lanai here in S Florida. They fly around freely along with about 25 finches. The female is new. She has started laying eggs in one of the food cups. I'm guessing its too cold for them to breed successfully now and I read on the website that they should be separated when not breeding. But there's a lot of room for them to fly around in and I dont want to cage them unecessarily. Will it harm them to leave them together for the winter? Thanks for your help!
