Our 6 year old parakeet is losing feathers on his head.
He now has a bald spot right above his beak about the size of a pea and it gets a little bigger each day.
His male friend (same age) died about a month ago of some type of internal illness (no baldness). Do you know what's causing this parakeet to lose its head feathers? I haven't noticed any scratching.
