: You may recall that I had to cut my canary's nails a couple of months ago, and the resulting experience  was horrible for both him and me.

: Now Bert's nails have gotten long again.  I do not want to have to trim them again if I can possibly avoid it, so I purchaced a mineral perch that is basically a coarse man made stone.  I replaced one of his old wooden perches with it, and after a day or two of adjustment, he has started using it.

: Will this be enough to wear down his nails so I won't have to trim them again?
