You wouldn't want to place birds in an aviary just before sunset. They should have a chance to get used to their new home. It might not be a bad idea to keep the birds in a cage inside the aviary for a week or two. Then the door of the cage could be left open. This will give the birds lots of time to familiarize themselves with the surroundings. Of course, make sure that the cage is not in a location subject to baking sun or wind. If adult birds attack the youngsters, then you have to use your judgement. If one or two of the breesers are "public enemies," then remove them from the aviary. The only other thing you can do is to remove the youngster and hope that they are eating on their own.
