: Ouch.  That sounds nasty.

: Maybe he is just molting, which would be okay, but if he is in pain, which is what it sounds like, he may have had his feathers plucked in a fight!  This is all just speculation on my part, of course.

: Since he does appear to be in pain, perhaps it would be best to seperate from the other birds and give him some extra TLC until he heals.
