: : My 3 week old baby cockatiel smells funny :(. Its not a HORRIBLE putrid smell, but it is unpleasant. Can spray him with water to take away the unpleasant smell? It is not coming from his mouth. I think he fell in poop by mistake or something. Would it be alright to spray him with the cleaning products 2? 

: You can buy special sprays to bathe a bird.  Don't try to hose down the little guy, just spray a light mist.

: An adult bird will bathe itself by vigorously splashing.  

: Actually scrubbing a bird (as you would a pet dog) is only done as an emergency procedure (as when a wild bird is covered by oil or some other pollutant).  This is only done by a veterinarian or some other trained professional.
