Why not feed both! Are you feeding the uncooked stems, too? I can imagine canaries eating the florets raw, but I'd think that the stems would be too hard for canaries. Cooking also makes vegetables easier to digest. Though very nutritious, roccoli, spinach and collard greens make iron and calcium very diffucult to digest. Don't feed these items on a daily basis. Feed them very sparingly during the breeding season. : I feed my canaries raw broccoli. Others feed them cooked broccoli. I prefer the raw ones as they keep more vitamins inside than cooked ones.
