: It would be a lot simpler to install the cage on a wall in a well-lit room that is relatively quiet, but is occupied by people during the day.
: If the location is slightly above your eye level, that often works out best (if you are not trying to hand tame a bird).

: If you and the bird both enjoy carrying the cage around during the day, then continue to do so.

: Putting a cage outside is very dangerous.  If the little guy can't get out of direct sun or a draft, death might be the result.  
: Unless the cage is in a very secure location, you're turning this keet into a "sitting duck" for an attack by a predator.
: Also, it seems that the bird escaped once before.  If it gets out of the cage, it's unlikely that you'll ever find the bird again.

: It's best to cover the cage from dusk to dawn.  But, if you consistently cover the cage from 10PM to when you get up in the

: : A parakeet flew in my husband's office, with a lot of help we placed her in a box with holes so she could breath. I bought her a cage 3 hours after we got her, It has been a week and I think she is very happy:)

I read that the cage should be placed in only one place and should not be moved or the parakeet will get upset and disoriented. I usually place the cage in the living room (from 9-6 pm) so she can have some sun, around 12:00 am I put the cage outside so she can have some fresh air (Don't put the cage out when it is cold.. just when it is sunny and warm), she seems to enjoy it because when she is outside she sings loudly!!. My question is.. is this recomendable for parakeets?.
