: Hi! About 2 years ago i bought a ringneck dove it turned out to be a male, well a little while later i felt bad for it and bought it a friend. The woman at the pet store said it was a female. I introduced them slowly over about a 2 months time. When i put them together they were fine for about a month then one of the bird attacked the other bird and gave him a bloody eye (hes fine though). So i seperated them. Now my question is is that they would coo to each other CONSTANTLY but just over 2 months ago one of them died (unknown cause) now my other dove wont coo at all! not a coo since the other dove died. Is this because of depression or is it just that there is no dove to compete with any more? Any Help would be great!
