I have two issues to point out here
1) After years and years of listening mainly to Roller Canaries, I now appreciate very much the songs of what are called Yellow Singer Canaries. They sing with their beaks open (unlike the pure Rollers) and consequently their voice is harsher and louder but very very beautiful. I know that there is risk of having my Roller imitating the Yellow Singer. But I do not mind.
2) The best way to keep more than one male canary singing with other males in the same room is not to let them see other. In the past, it was thought that a male canary would stop singing if he listens to another male. Actually it would usually stop singing if he SEES another male singing.
