As you've noticed, in an aviary setting, the birds will try to breed no matter what.

Replace the nest boxes and allow nature to take its course.

Make sure that there are the same number of males and females. If there are any extra hens, they will tirelessly fight with the mated hens.

: I live in SW Florida and work in a nursing home with an large aviary. We have a debate whether to let the keets breed this spring, or pull the nest boxes and not allow them to breed. Of course, they continue to drop eggs everywhere, just no boxes. If they breed, we would pull the babies, and place them. Help please, before we all kill each other.
