: she is about 2-3 weeks old, and she looks like she is doing the splits- like she cant get her legs to go beneath her. she tries, but ends up just propelling herself around the nest box. what do i do? i know this is not a good situation for her!!!

There's very little hope for a nestling that's extremely afflicted by splayed legs.

Consult a veterinarian to discuss the available options.

Splayed legs can be caused by a nutritional deficiency. Be sure that the birds have available cuttlebone and mineral grit. Either the diet should be vitamin-enriched or vitamins should be supplied in the water.
