I have four canaries, two males and two females. The two pairs are in separate cages. One of the females is very quick at building nests, laying eggs, and diligently sit on them. The last clutch was infertile, it seems that she does not let the male do his "job". I removed the infertile eggs a week ago and she has already rebuilt a new nest, she will probably lay eggs soon but she is not showing any attraction for the beautiful singing male I recently bought (I thought she did not like the other one). I placed them together in the same cage a few days ago, and he is very keen to do something with her, but she does not seem to want him, and he does not sing anymore. What should I do? Separate them again and put the cages close to each other so he can sing and seduce her? Or am I am missing something else. Please help!
