: : My norwich hen Hyacinth (that's her in the photo on top of the cage in your website) died March 25th. Her diagnosis was Dyspnea. I showed her records to the aviary owner where I bought her. He found in the medical records that she was given 3 injections by needle which he wasn't pleased about. His opinion was she had egg yolk peritonitis which caused her respiratory condition. He told me they should have used a nebulizer. He will be giving me a free gloster male canary to replace her. I heard from other bird people about injections being a no-no for small canarys, Can anyone give me info on nebulizers.thanks Judy I am glad to know I did everything possible for her. The vet who ended up treating her at the animal hosp wasn't avian, but she told me she consulted with the one avian vet who was on doing surgery that day. She also seemed to know alot about birds...thanks again Judy
